Dear Citizens of District 8,

My name is Chris Nettles, and I want to represent our community in the Fort Worth City Council. As a lifelong resident of District 8, I have seen how our neighborhoods and city have changed - both for the good and the bad. Now, I want to bring fresh ideas and new leadership to city hall to ensure that the change going forward is positive.

I intend on fighting for real development in the district and citywide. This includes economic development - promoting small businesses and providing citizens with more options and opportunities. It also includes preparing for the future by improving infrastructure and expanding public services. These will not be easy projects, and the only way we will get it done is through responsive and dedicated leadership.

Dedicated leadership is not simply showing up to shake hands and take photos. Instead, it is the act of listening to those you represent and actually fighting for their interests, even when it may not benefit yourself. In the past, our representatives have failed to uphold their promises after being elected, and as a result many issues have not been addressed sufficiently. I intend on fighting day in and day out for your interests, not mine.

As a father and active member of the community, I believe that District 8 should be a place where you can raise a family, seek economic opportunity, and spend quality time. I look forward to earning your vote and representing your interests in the Fort Worth City Council!

Your friend and neighbor,

Chris Nettles
